Doug Patriquin is one of those hidden gems that hasn’t yet been polished. Hailing from Nova Scotia, he started playing at age 5 and by 14 years old he was playing gigs. He relocated 9 years ago to Alberta, only to find out it’s the little Nashville of Canada.
Doug brings with him a traditional country sound that is not that common anymore. He has performed all over Alberta, as well as working a day job. Just recently completing a Merle Haggard cover album, he projects that traditional sound back to the people. His musical background covers vast areas from old time country to big band sound.
His growing arena of friends in the business such as Trick Ryder, Craig Moritz, Gord Bamford and Julian Austin, with a list that goes on and on, allowing him to do what he does best – playing music with friends, having fun and delivering a message through song.
